FAQS about Puerto Rico
Puerto Rico is an island in the Caribbean Sea NOT to be confused with Costa Rica. It is a Commonwealth of the U.S. The primary languages are Spanish and English. Most individuals in major cities and towns speak fluent English. Here are some more important details about the history of Puerto Rico.
What should I know about travel to Puerto Rico?
Travel to PR does not require a passport for US citizens. For individuals traveling from all other countries, travel to PR is considered travel to the U.S. and the same passport/visa requirements apply.
Is travel to Puerto Rico dangerous?
Travel to PR is not particularly dangerous. The area we will be in is a low crime, peaceful town. If you choose to visit San Juan, you should practice your street smarts as in any major city. February is NOT hurricane season. There are no dangerous land animals in Puerto Rico. The ocean of course has its own dangers as does any ocean anywhere in the world does.
Where should I fly into?
The two main airports in Puerto Rico are Aguadilla and San Juan. The Aguadilla Airport, known as Rafael Hernández Airport (BQN), is the closest and most convenient airport (40 minute drive). Whether you fly into Aguadilla or San Juan, I have arranged for transportation with a local woman owned taxi service. You will receive a survey after signing up that will help organize this transportation around your arrival time with other retreat participants. The cost will range from $19 for a group of 4 from the Aguadilla to $75 for a solo trip from the Aguadilla airport OR $50 for a group of 4 from San Juan to $200 for a solo trip from the San Juan airport.
Do I have to stay on site?
Residents of Puerto Rico who are enrolled in the retreat are welcome to stay off site and join us for all activities, excursions, and closing night at the site of the retreat.
If you are interested in staying off site for any other reason please email sensual.radiance@gmail.com to discuss.
Should I rent a car?
You are welcome to rent a car but you will not need one during our stay. Car rental can be pricy but driving in Puerto Rico is safe and easy. The site of our stay provides parking for up to 3 cars, otherwise you will have to find nearby street parking. Please notify us of your decision to rent a car with the survey provided after you sign up. All excursions will have organized transportation included in your retreat fee.
Where else should I visit in Puerto Rico?
Should you decide to stay over the weekend prior to or post our retreat, I highly recommend visiting San Juan, the capital of Puerto Rico to experience the famed night life, vibrancy and architecture of Old San Juan. From San Juan, you can also visit the rainforest, El Yunque which is a 40 minute drive away.
Alternatively, if you would like to explore the mountains, Utuado is a gorgeous peaceful town for quiet rest, relaxation, lush green and waterfalls.
The islands of Culebra and Vieques are breathtaking as well and can be reached by ferry on the east coast of the island- east of San Juan.
There are many gorgeous places to visit all over the island. If you want some more suggestions feel free to message me directly!

Theme: Unleash Your Inner Video VIxen
During the late 90s/early 2000s, the video vixen captured our attention. She strutted out of the sea with water dripping down her body, she oozed sensuality shamelessly, she emanated confidence and radiance in “exotic” locations.
We were drawn to this modern iteration of the sex siren that appeared in music videos, while simultaneously growing more aware as a culture of the significance of culture geared towards the male gaze. Where she was primarily put on a pedestal, the video vixen became simultaneously villainized the more the industry equated her with sex work and the more saturated the market became with young models eager for their moment to shine. As time progressed, these women came out with their stories, Karinne Stefans amongst them, sharing about this journey.
The video vixen was Alyssa’s main inspiration for diving head first into the world of modeling at the age of 14. She saw herself in these women and longed to be part of that seemingly glamorous world of travel and sexual autonomy.
As the vixens themselves later revealed, the reality proved to be different. As a fashion model, Alyssa noticed the disconnect between the experience of modeling in often uncomfortable physical circumstances, impossible expectations, and treatment as if models were interchangeable/disposable- and the finished art.
Auditioning for the Blurred Lines music video marked a turning point for her. It sunk in how empty the pursuit of acceptance by the gatekeepers truly was. It marked the end of her active desire to participate in the modeling industry and inspired her to go on a path to be the embodied artist she truly desired to be most.
Over this last decade since, she has devoted herself to creating authentic, honest, embodied, Pussy Empowered art, still definitely inspired by those early visions of the video vixen. However, today she expresses on her own terms and invites all of her collaborators and clients to do the same. On the shores of Puerto Rico, Alyssa has expressed her video vixen dreams with a volume of art that can be found across her social media channels, via the Movement Membership Program, and in her first two music videos for Como un Animal and Ancestors Wildest Dreams filmed in Puerto Rico.
With this retreat, Alyssa desires to continue merging her world of art with the Pussy Empowered method that has brought her to the point of artistry and entrepreneurship you witness from her today.
This retreat is an invitation to her clients to live their expressed fantasies, embodying the inner goddess and get comfortable expressing themselves and taking up space.
She desires to support each participant to create art out of their embodied expression that feels true to them. Art that makes you feel alive as you create it and inspires you every time you rewatch it to remember that you are that bitch.
Amazing Client Feedback!

*A Note on Gender Identity & Sex:
In this container, much of our focus will center the experience of the physical space of pussy: ie uterus, vulva, cervix, ovaries etc.
Much of our focus will center the experience of being socialized as a womxn.
If your lived experience remains outside of either or both of these experiences and this conversation resonates with you, you may discern that this is the container for you. It is possible that this may not resonate for you and where you are on your journey of liberation. If you have any questions about whether this space is aligned for you, please email sensual.radiance@gmail.com
