Ancestors Wildest Dreams is my very first song! I wrote these lyrics after experiencing the loss of my beloved grandfather last year. It is a manifesto to exist and embody that truth.
Writing the first part was a life raft in the midst of deep grieving. About a year later, I revisited these lyrics from a place of further healing and celebration of getting to be the living legacy of those who came before me. I then finished the song and decided to bring it to life.
Releasing a song has been a dream of mine since I was a very young girl. As a kid, I had notebooks full of lyrics and would perform for anyone who would listen. I even went so far as to hold an audition on the playground for my first music video (spoiler alert: it never made it past this stage).
I shut that vision down in a long and painful stage of my life where I did not trust my voice and let fear limit me in my creativity and expression.
In the last few years, on my journey of healing & Pussy Empowerment, I have been reclaiming my voice and the totality of my expression. On this path came the reawakening of my desire to make music. This time, I heeded the call and it has opened an exciting new horizon and channel for my creativity and message.

In this Song Release Party & Werkshop I will be sharing about the journey of brining this song to life. Specifically:

🎤Embodying our Ancestors Wildest Dreams while acknowledging that some of our dreams would actually be their nightmares and how to navigate that!
🎤Modalities will include guided visualization, embodiment, writing exercises, sharing in community, and yes we will dance!

You will explore your own personal relationship with your wildest dreams and anchor into the truth that your are the embodiment of the wildest dreams of your ancestors. We will also explore how to embody and express those dreams unapologetically.
In community through guided visualization, embodiment, writing exercises, and sharing we will explore:
our wildest dreams
how they relate to our ancestors and the dreams they held for us
how they differ from what our immediate ancestors may have wanted for us
healing our relationship with our voice and how its connected to our power

Alyssa is a lifelong anthropologist of Pussy Power, Pussy Empowerment Coach & Erotic Creatrix.
Throughout her professional career she has worked as a fashion model, writer, editor, artist, performer of belly dance, burlesque, samba, and exotic dance. She is one half of the artistic duo, Flash The Abyss which is currently in the final stages of completing a documentary exploring modern female flamenco performers in Spain.
Over the last decade, Alyssa has studied with many of the top voices in women’s empowerment in the nation.
Through her offerings and art, she is passionate about inspiring the feminine to stop settling for crumbs and create a world where women feel empowered to live their embodied truth.
